David Cooper (basketball)

David Cooper (born 15 October 1976) is a retired Australian basketball player who played for the Brisbane Bullets (2001–02), Victoria Giants (2002–03), Cairns Taipans (2003–04) and Adelaide 36ers (2004–10) in the NBL.
Born in Toowoomba, Australia, Cooper started off by playing for the Canberra Gunners in the Australian Basketball Association from the 1995 season. His last season was to be in 2001, when he was drafted by the Brisbane Bullets. He stayed there for his first season, before moving to the Victoria Giants in the 2002 season. He was also playing for the Manawatu Jets in the New Zealand National Basketball League, where he won the 2003 MVP award and lead rebounding in 2004.
He then was once again traded, this time to the Cairns Taipans for the 2003-04 season, and then once again to the Adelaide 36ers in the 2004-05 season. This is where he played out the remainder of his NBL career. His highest ever score in Australia's highest league was 17 in Adelaide's 2005 Quarter Final game against Brisbane.〔(Player Profile )〕
Cooper retired from playing in the NBL at the end of the 2009-10 NBL season.
